Swim course - 1/4 mile swim - open water
in Lake Chickamauga.
Bike - flat & fast. All roads will be
open to vehicle traffic.
Do not exit off of Riverside Drive at Mable St but continue on Riverside Drive to left on to Houston Street then right on 3rd street ( tight turns but not too bad if you go slow) then left onto High St. to right on to 4th St then right on to Market Street and to the transition area.
Run -moderately challenging.
Course will go up 1st Street to the Walnut Street Bridge instead of 2nd Street. Run on side walks from transition area down Market Street to 1st Street. |

Directions to Chickamauga Dam Recreation Area From I-75, take exit 4 (Hwy 153 North towards Chickamauga Dam/Airport). Go approx. 5 miles; take the Chickamauga Lake exit; turn right, then left onto Kings Point Road; Proceed to the parking area on the left. |

Please use trash receptacles which are
provided on the race course. Wave starts: 7:00am 1st wave - males 20-29 7:05am 2nd wave males - 30-49 7:10am 3rd wave all females, all relay teams, all participants 19 and under and all men 50+ Day of Race Registration from 5:30 - 6:30 am at the Chickamauga Dam. Field is limited to the first 400 participants. Pre-Race Packets will be available Saturday, Aug. 13, from noon - 5:00 pm at the Sports Barn Downtown. Location Get off I-24 onto the 4th St. Exit; turn left on Market St.; Parking is available on the Cherry St. Parking Deck. Food An assortment of fresh fruits and PowerAde will be available for your health and enjoyment. Markers All miles on run, 5 mile intervals on bike. Water will be available on the run course. Rules USAT Rules and Regulations apply. Overall Winner Awards 1st - $75, 2nd - $50, 3rd - $25 Cash awards will also be given to the top three male and female winners of each age group. Minors will be awarded prizes (and 1st place relay winners 12 & under). Age Divisions Male & Female: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60+ Random drawing will be made after the race for a wetsuit from Quintana Roo. 1. A listing of all pre-registered
participants with assigned race numbers will be posted and updated
weekly.
2. Reminder, we have two transition
areas. All pre-registered participants who sign up by 8/7 will
be assigned a bike rack number. Participants who sign up
"the day of" the race will need to utilize the
"overflow" bike rack numbers which will be available
"first come first serve".
3. ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE
FOR PLACING THEIR BIKE TO RUN GEAR IN T2. RACE OFFICIALS ARE NOT
RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTING GEAR.
4. The T2 bike racks will be located
in the lower deck of the Sports Barn parking garage. T2 will be
open by 5:00am.
5. Due to an increase in
participation we will start the race in waves. A breakdown of
wave start times/categories will be posted one week before the race.
6. A bike and run course map will be
available on the website.
